Post office online FD Account Close Online - Auto Closure Process

 

Post office ONLINE FD Account Auto Close- 

Problem- Post office Online TD ( Post office Fixed Deposit Account) Auto Closure not working while it is mentioned while opening (Principle Return upon maturity credit to POSB Account). 

Solution - There is no provision in the rules for the automatic closure of the account. The account holder has to close his/her account after maturity.

How to Close post office FD online? 

Only available in Post office ebanking portal ( ebanking.indiapost.gov.in). it is not available in India Post Mobile Banking app. 

Process- Login to Your Post office internet Banking- Service Request- Close/Pre close TD Account- Select TD account- Submit.
